Lady Spartans Improve in Loss

The GCA varsity girls basketball team lost 35-20 against Rancho Solano from Scottsdale.  This was the highest scoring from the Spartans this season. Audrey Hartman led the team with 9 points. Heaven Jajou pitched in 4pts, while Abby Mayhew scored her first bucket of the season. Freshman Sophie Shoemaker scored her first ever varsity point

Lady Spartans Come Up Short

GCA varsity girls basketball team lost its second game of the year, 71-11 at Benjamin Franklin in Queen Creek. Audrey Hartman led the Spartans with 4 pts and 3 blocks. Heaven Jajou contributed 3 pts and Sophia Warren scored 2 pts and added 3 blocks. Yasmine Sleiman finished up with 2 pts. The loss drops

GCA Basketball Purple & Gold Game 11/17

Come on out to the Arena Friday night, November 17th at 6pm to preview your GCA Spartan basketball teams.  Both the boys and girls teams will be featured in scrimmages showcasing our basketball teams as they prepare for the upcoming season.  Entry to the game is FREE with a canned food donation.  

Boys Cross Country Team 13th @ State – Tristan Young 17th overall!!!

Links to the State Cross Country meet results are below. Highlights: Tristan medaled placing 17th out of 200 runners. Boys team placed 13th overall out of 27 teams which is in the upper half – very impressive. Ainsley Snyder competed for the Spartan girls placing 104th out of 156 runners. On a tough hilly course

GCA Spartan Cross Country – Headed To State!!!

Congratulations to our GCA Spartan Boys Cross Country (Tristan Young, Nick Gonzalez, Jared Logan, Matt Glover, Michael Atias, Fabian Barrera & Hyrum Sawyer) team for finishing 4th out of 10 teams in the sectionals meet which earned them a spot in the State meet. Ainsley Snyder of the girls team placed 19th in the sectionals
